Enhancing the First Photo of Listing

Read Description Flag/Button


The Read Description "Flag" is a Button that can be clicked on to put a red "Read Description" on the first thumbnail of the image.

Where is it found? On the "Add Details" page during the scanning process.

Here is what it looks like inside your Manifest with a "Read Description" selected.

Here is an image from a live auction online with a "Read Description" Flag selected.


When is it used? It is best to flag something with a "Read Description" when it is damaged, or there is something specific you wish your customer/bidders to review in the images.
Generally you will add "Notes" or "Damage Description" during the scanning process on the "Add Details" page.


Adding a Caption

(to the first Lot Photo of a Listing)


manyfastscan.com > Menu > General Settings > View Settings.

Step 1. Navigate to General Settings > View Settings
  1. Choose the template you want to work with.
  2. Account Settings is typically the view used by default.


Step 2. Click on the "Edit Item" tab located above the data table.
  1. Locate the "Attribute Name" called lot_thumbnail_subtitle and toggle to "Displayed."
  2. Repeat the process for the "More Details after Scan" tab.

Step 3. Download your data using the manyfastscan.com site.
  1. Make sure you choose "Download Type"="Manifest with Photos."
  2. The Lot Thumbnail Subtitle is only applied if you download with photos.
  3. It is on the roadmap to enable for image links as well.

Step 4. Lot_Thumbnail_subtitle field is populated with data
  1. When you download your images it will appear as the example image below.
