Catalog For Auction

Cataloging means you are creating "Product Listings" for your Auction. These listings are each of your items/product listings.

By default your manyfastscan is already setup for Auction format such as Hibid, Liveauctioneers, Auction Mobility, and many more.

There might be slight differences in settings, speak with your Account Manager to go over the details. 

Below is a step by step walkthrough for Online Auction Settings.

Step 1. manyfastscan.com > General Settings > Account Settings
  1. Start on "Generic" tab
  2. Force Fresh Data: Toggle to Yes(yellow): Always force new data from source when scanning barcodes. 
  3. Show Dashboard to Admins Only: Optional, this is for controlling employee views.
  4. Premium Price Multiplier: useful for offsetting credit card processing fees.
  5. Discount Price Multiplier: This is the inverse of your discount: Example: 40% off retail would be a multiplier of .60
  6. Default Auction Starting Price
  7. Default Auction Reserve Price
  8. Retail Price Convert to Currency: Select the appropriate currency from the dropdown.
  9. Don't forget to SAVE!


Step 2. Account Settings Continued
  1. Title Shortening Tab
  2. Is Title Shortening Enabled: Our AI will create a coherent, shortened title, to fit within your platforms Character Limit. Toggle on/off per preference.
  3. Title Shortening Max Length: Set the maximum length in characters.
  4. Don't forget to SAVE!


Step 3. These settings determine what Manifests and Manifest Groups you see, or are hidden for organization methods.
  1. Show Hidden Manifest(s) in the Manifest List? – When set to Yes, any manifests you’ve hidden will still appear in your Manifest List.
  2. Show Hidden Manifest Group(s) in the Manifest Group List? – When set to Yes, hidden manifest groups will appear in your list for review or reactivation.
  3. Show Hidden Vendor(s) in the Vendors List? – When set to Yes, vendors marked as hidden will be visible in the Vendors List.
  4. Show Hidden Uploaded Manifest(s) in the Manifest List? – When set to Yes, previously hidden uploaded manifests will be visible.


Step 4. These settings determine how and when your camera opens or reopens.


Step 5. These settings determine how the functions of your scan workflow.
  1. Skip Photo Capture? – Remains OFF (gray) so you can capture product photos.
  2. Skip Conditions? – Remains OFF (gray) so you can record condition details for each product.
  3. Is Skip Pricing Screen? – Remains on - Yellow.
  4. Label Print Option – Controls whether labels are printed automatically after a scan or only when you click the print button.
  5. Estimate Price Popup Open? – Remains OFF (gray)
  6. Waiting Time for Searching Price – Leave at default of 4 seconds for online retail to balance speed and data accuracy.


Step 6. These settings determine number of photos captured and page size.
