Options for Configuration

Configure Label Sizes

This will need to be done for each printer.
Tap the button for the size of label you want to program your printer for.

Gap Label vs Bar Label

If the labels have a black stripe across the back of the label (on the label liner) then the label is a “Bar Label” otherwise it is a “Gap Label”. If this is not set correctly, the printer will print many extra labels which will be blank. Example of Bar Label is below.

Select Gap Label, or Bar Label. Refer to image and instructions above to identify the correct one.

After Correct label is selected, choose ‘Calibrate Printer’

Calibrate Printer

When a calibration is performed, the printer will sense the labels loaded in the printer and determine the height of the label. This allows the printer to understand when to start printing and when to stop. Any time a label size is changed, a calibration is required.

Tap on "Calibrate Printer"

A warning will appear, READ it, and tap "OK"

Your printer will roll out two blank labels. The App will give you the confirmation message pictured below. Once the command is finished, the printer will reset. The printer must reset on its own for the new programming to save.

Further Testing: If you need to test your printer further, you will need to go back to the previous screen and reconnect to your printer. Once you have reconnected, you can enter the printer "Configuration" screen and perform the additional functions listed above.

Send Custom ZPL Command

  4. Tap "Send Custom ZPL Command"

Step 2. You will receive two messages from the app
  1. One for sending the command to the printer
  2. One notification the command has been executed.

Can't Connect to Printer

  1. Only one user can connect to a printer at a time. Make sure no other users are connected to the printer. If they are, have them 'Forget the Device' in their Bluetooth Settings.
  2. If an Android device cannot connect, make sure you are not connected to the printer via Bluetooth Settings. manyfastscan is designed to make the connection for you. If you connect in Bluetooth Settings first, the printer will not work.

Printer Connects to Bluetooth and Reconnects

  1. For iOS devices, the common fix for this is updating the firmware - you can download the software, firmware and instructions here
  2. For Android devices, this can be due to either the user walking too far away from the printer, or too much interference in your environment to establish a reliable connection. If this is the case, for Android Devices only, you can directly connect the USB-C port on your device to the Mini-USB plug on the right side of the printer.
  1. You will need a USB-Mini cord like this one here (it's an older USB Cable) https://a.co/d/3DBTKaN

Label is Faded

The printer manufacturer recommends that after 1500 labels printer (about 5 rolls) that the printhead is cleaned. Over time, adhesive from the labels will clog up the print head. If you are experiencing faded labels follow these steps

Clean Printhead
Dirty Printhead

If the printhead is dirty, take an alcohol swab and wipe off the adhesive and dirt stuck to the printhead. Afterwards, the printer will work correctly.
